The Celtic Motherhood knot symbolizes the everlasting bond between a mother and child. When your child is away and there is no contact for weeks, a mother must rely on what she knows in her heart that the love between her and her child will sustain them both as they travel through these tough moments. Although temporary, they can feel endless and devastating, wondering if she has prepared and raised her child properly to be ready for such a journey, wishing she had done more- and always going back to her heart and the love she carries endlessly.
These two symbols together represent the roller coaster of emotions a mother experiences as she sends her child off on the biggest journey she has ever known.
